“Knowledge of the trainer - The trainer is extremely knowledgeable on the subject matter and constantly uses real-life examples
to help explain the application of the information taught in class. He imparts his tacit knowledge of the various topic (no doubt
acquired over the years) to provide the trainees with the pitfalls and mistakes commonly associated with trading, hence
tremendously shortening the learning curve if one was to stick closely to the various methods explained by the trainer.
Strategies for successful trading - The trainer provided detailed and adequate explanation of the various strategies that can
be successfully utilized in trading the markets. These were tried by some of the students and found to be most relevant and
useful in trading successfully. As he explained the various methods of technical analysis, he was thorough in covering the
pitfalls and limitations of the various strategies and made his personal recommendations for each so that we use the
analytical methods with caution. The methods went beyond covering the various technical analysis tools and advice was given
on how to prepare properly for trading the next day i.e. reviewing of information, paper trading to test a hypothesis etc.
Overall, I found it extremely interesting, enjoyable and relevant. It is a well designed and a well conducted
course. The other professionals such as Paul Yuen, Yvonne Goh and Sherilyn Ong complemented Kenny very well, in that they
reinforced the key areas/benefits of working in PhillipCapital. At the back of my mind, it is comforting as I now know that if I
do eventually work with PhillipCapital, that there would be qualified and experienced individuals such as Mr. Kenny Tan (and I am
sure others, too) to guide us when we need assistance from time to time.”
“This course helps to incubate would-be traders by preparing them for the exams and equip them with the knowledge, skills and
tools. Personally, I felt the program was well-structured and planned. By allowing access to the demo poems Protrader, it gave me
the opportunity to immediately apply hands-on what I learnt from the trainer. The MetaStock demo and the use of NextView during
classes were useful as it provided us with an idea of the various software, tools and functionalities available out there. The
